Events Update
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE MESSAGE BOARD FOR LATE EVENTS OR UPDATES
Monday 31st May - SMOC Bank Holiday Run. Starting at 10.30 am from M2 Farthing corner services, we’ll drive around Isle of Sheppey to Leysdown for lunch and the on to the Harty Ferry pub for some suspension testing and a soft drink or two. The run is free and the weather will be sunny and 20C.
Sunday 6th June
- Bucket and Spade run from Faversham to Ramsgate. Annual classic car and Mini run to the coast. All you need is a bucket, a spade and £5 donation. Book via messageboard. Meet 9.30 M2 Farthing Services.Sunday 13th June
- Mini Cooper Register day - Beaulieu. A good run through New Forest to this fun mini show. It is the same day Bromley Pageant again, so you have to decide which to go to. Meet 7.30am M25 clackett lane. Over 25 going, you can also join us and pay on gate - £10pp.Sunday 13th June
- Bromley Pageant of Motoring. As always SMOC have a stand at the largest classic show in the world. We have booked a 10 car stand which is free* (normal cost £5 per car) - 5 places left. Meet at the Harvester Crooked Billet, nr A21 Bromley at 8.30am.
Sunday 20th June
- Ravenswood School Classic Car show in Bromley. The best small classic car show we ever go to and free* to SMOC members. We always theme the stand and this year we need you to go for a circus theme. We are meeting at The Crown pub, A21 Bromley at 9.30am. Book by 10 June.
Sunday 27th June
- EDMC Pilgramage from Eastbourne to Canterbury. We have been invited to join this run by Eastbourne District Mini Club to help raise money for a children’s cancer charity. You must pre-register and try to raise some sponsorship. SMOC will be meeting at M25 Clackett lane at 8.30am. www.edmc.co.uk/
Wednesday 30th June
- Summer evening Run to Reculver. Every year we head for the coast at 7.30pm. This year is Reculver, about 40 miles from M2 Farthing Corner Service where we’ll meet. There is a great pub at the end and views of the Sea. Book via messageboard.
Saturday 3rd July
- Harvel Fete 2-5pm. SMOC have been invited to join this Classic car show on the village green. There may even be free food and drink and a trophy for best car. Spaces are limited. Book via messageboard by 20th June. "We are reviving our traditional rally of veteran and classic cars as part of our fete on the village green, and would like to invite you and your friends to take part." If there is interest we will meet at venue.
Sunday 4th July
- MiniWorld Festival at Gaydon. This is always a good show at the Heritage Cente, Warks. They usually have trade, Russ Swift and trips around Ford’s secret test track. There are also club games, a run to the Mini Plant in Oxford and more. Entry is free for first 12 from SMOC. Book online by 10th June - visit www.minifestival.co.uk/index.html Our run will leave M25 Clackett Lane at 8am sharp - appx 120 miles.
Sunday 11th July
- Darling Buds of May Classic Car show at Bethersden, nr Ashford. A big show, with lots of trade stands and the ITV set and Pop Larkin’s car. Entry is free* to first 15 from SMOC. Book via messageboard
