If you are a SMOC member, you should book using the downloadable booking form on the booking page. All other people should use the online booking facility on the booking page.

What is the camping surface in the main camping field?
The surface is mown grass on a clay soil. The field is on a slope (gradient varies between 1 in 10 max, and 1 in 24 min) so it is advised that you plan for camping on these gradients.
I want to camp with the rest of my Club but I will be arriving the day after the rest of the club. Can I reserve a pitch near my Club camping?
Camping is on a first come first served basis and allocated on arrival unless previously arranged. It is recommended that if you wish to camp with other members of your club, get your club secretary to contact us with the number of pitches required and SMOC will do it's best to allocate these close together.
What time do you have to be off the Bewl site on Sunday?
The GMD event closes on Sunday at 4pm, and it is advised that guests vacate the site by 6pm if not booked for additional nights
Is camping on Sunday night available?
Camping for GMD is free for Friday and Saturday night. Sunday to Wednesday night is available at £3 per person per night.
Will there be a standpipes for water?
Although the Bewl Water reservoir holds about 31 million litres of water, we advise that you do not drink it. Standpipes will be provided in the camping field where possible.
Is electricity available on the camp site?
No electricity hook-up is available
What hygiene facilities will be available?
Free basic toilet, shower and washing facilities will be available in the vacinity of the main camping area.
Is there disabled access to the site?
The Bewl Water site has a variety of surfaces from tarmac to open field (clay based soil).
Are there disabled toilets?
There are disabled male and female toilets in the cafe building on site
Are chemical disposal facilities available on the Bewl Site?
No. Please dispose of any chemical waste properly.
What food facilities will be available?
The Bewl Water site has a cafe providing light meals, snacks, refreshments and hot & cold drinks.
Further food facilities similar to burger vans will also be provided in the GMD Trade/Arena field.
Are Barbeques allowed?
Enclosed barbeques are allowed. Disposable barbeques are also allowed providing they are raised off the ground and do not damage the grass or other surface. Open Fires are NOT allowed. Please ensure all embers are extinguished and cool before disposal. Those breaking the rules will be asked to leave.
Will there be a licensed bar?
The Bewl Water Cafe is licensed to sell bottled beers, ciders and wines.Additionally, there will be a licensed bar on the Friday and Saturday evening with limited stocks.
Can I sell my vehicle at GMD?
There will be a "For Sale" area probably a little way from the main Trade/Area field with a donation of at least £5 to the chosen SMOC charity (Hearts of Kent Hospice, Registered Charity)
Will there be a place where I can race/rally my car?
No. For everyone's safety, speed restrictions will be imposed on the Bewl Water site during the event. People repeatedly or blatently breaking the speed restrictions will be asked to leave the site.
What time can I arrive on the Friday?
2pm (Trade 10am).
When do I need to be off site if I am a day visitor?
Day tickets are invalid after 5pm and do not include camping or evening entertainment.
I don't have a Mini or a MINI. Can I still come?
Yes of course! You are most welcome!
Is camping free?
A 5m x 5m Camping pitch is included in the weekend ticket price. These will be allocated on arrival
A limited number of Caravans will be allowed at no extra cost and allocated 5m x 9m. No hook ups or water connection available
Is there a 'quiet area' for families in the camping area?
We will endeavour to provide a quiet area, however it is one field for camping and we cannot guarantee there will not be some noise. The Bewl site is not as large as previous Mini Days held on the Paddock Wood Hop Farm site and therefore space is limited. Where at all possible SMOC will try and allocate an area for quiet/family camping but at present is likely to be in the main camping field with everyone else. Please inform SMOC of the size of the party when booking but will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The quietest area is likely to be the top left hand corner of the main camping field.
Can I bring my dog?
If it is a Japanese fighting dog - no, otherwise yes, but it must be kept on a lead at all times. You must also clear up after it.
Can I have BBQs?
Yes, but not directly on the grass. No fires are permitted. Those breaking these rules will be asked to leave.
Are there showers on site?
Yes.
Does the entry fee cover entry into the Bewl Water attractions?
It covers entry to the site and Southern Mini Days. Attractions such as Aqua-zorbing, sailing, fishing, zip-wire will be at users cost
Is there going to be trade at Southern Mini Days, for me to buy bits for my Mini / MINI?
Yes. Bring your money and a shopping list!
